Naughty Java's Colombian coffee is harvested from the Cauca region in the southwest Colombia.  A distinct flavor from this region can be detected in every coffee bean; dark chocolate with a bing berry tasting note.  With the Pacific ocean fed by the seven rivers running through Cauca, a large diversity of economic farming methods are used to produce the main crops in this region.  In addition, sediments of limestone, talc, and gypsum add to coffee crop nutritional intake - creating a rich and sustainable soil that can easily be renewed with the rubbish of other crops like maize, rice, banana and palm.  The elevation of the Cauca region of 1400-1600 meters above sea level also provides the ideal conditions to farm coffee, specifically the varietals Castillo and Caturra.
